The Barns of Rose Hill presents a Reading and Book Signing by award-winning Middleburg Mystery Writer Jan Neuharth for her new thriller, The Kill, on Sunday September 12 at 5:00 PM. Wine reception to follow.

Jan Neuharth's highly acclaimed Hunt Country Suspense Novels capture the colorful lifestyle of the old-money, tweedy, horsey community of Middleburg, Virginia, just outside Washington, DC. The fast-paced plots twist and turn through the historic countryside, carrying readers on gripping rides packed with murder, scandal, vengeance, and love—and oh yes, horses! Jan Neuharth, an attorney and avid equestrian, practiced law in Los Angeles before moving to the Virginia hunt country to establish Paper Chase Farms, one of the premier equestrian facilities of its kind. Her debut novel, The Hunt, was a Benjamin Franklin Award finalist and was nominated for a Library of Virginia Literary Award. The Chase won the IPPY Gold Medal for best Regional Fiction and was a Notable Winner of the Eric Hoffer Award. A graduate of the University of Florida and Vanderbilt Law School, Jan Neuharth lives in Middleburg, Virginia with her husband, Joseph Keusch, a former Joint Master of the Fairfax Hunt, and their children. The Kill, the third novel in her Hunt Country Suspense series, was released May 27, 2010.
